Here is one article of many on Mariah and softball. She is doing really good! Just a side note from the article, she got ejected from a previous game because the ump doesn't know what he is doing! He said she maliciously

Malia is almost done with track, she has also done really well. She participated in most of the relays, but her race really would have been the 400m open if her coach would have given her a chance ( and if he knew what he was doing!) She really enjoyed it and plans to do it again next year. It has been fun watching her run and watching Mariah play softball, but boy, I sure can't wait until school is over!!

So on another note, I may have to postpone my trip to Haiti. Looks like we will be heading out to Arizona to take Tahi to the doctor. I have been playing phone tag with the doctor, so not sure when exactly, but planning on the end of May or beginning of June.

I wonder what she could have done too?? Did she slide spikes up?? Did she throw a bat at someone?? WOW!! Mariah!!

Funny to hear you say that the ump doesn't know what he is doing. And then, the coach doesn't know what he is doing for Malia!! You must be the parent!!! ha!

Mom enjoys riding her new-to-her bike. It is a BMW R1150R Rockster model. She rides to school and back home again most days. She is a hero to her students on campus because she is a motorhead!! You go, girl!!

San Francisco Trip - 2007

During our trip last summer to San Francisco and eventually to San Diego, we took a day ride around the Castro Valley area to a scenic area known as Mount Diablo State Park. I distracted Barbara as we were maneuvering the switch back roads on our way down from the peak. Barbara endured a slow speed accident resulting in a few broken ribs, a broken clavical, and a punctured lung. She spent 10 glorious days in the John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. She has survived to ride again. She got back in the saddle and has ridden to school already this year.
